Visit this exhibition exploring how diplomat, globetrotter and visionary collector, Sir George Labouchere moved between the political frontlines of Stockholm, Nanking and Madrid while quietly assembling a daring collection of Modern Art. In a world where embassy walls were lined with safe, traditional paintings, he chose bold abstraction and contemporary sculpture instead. A pivotal moment came at Expo 58 in Brussels, when he acquired a work by Henry Moore, igniting a lifelong commitment to living artists whose work challenged convention. Serving in Spain under Francisco Franco, George collected radical works even as he navigated delicate diplomacy. Returning to Dudmaston, he shaped a legacy rooted in friendship, patronage and public access. Normal admission applies.

Comprising local stalls selling everything from Shropshire honey to handmade glass, silver, ceramics, crafted wood and so much more, Made in Shropshire is a brilliant day out! Held in the grounds of Dudmaston Hall in Shropshire, this handmade fair will have a great selection of approximately 30 high quality and unique art, craft and food stalls. All stall holders create their own products locally and stalls will be located near the main entrance, in the stable yard and in the orchard. Made in Shropshire is an organisation of like minded independents from around our beautiful county. What could be nicer than a weekend stroll in an historic setting? Soaking up the ambience, striking up a conversation with a maker or finding that unique gift for someone special, or maybe even treat for yourself. Normal admission applies. Free entry for National Trust members.

Join us at Dudmaston Hall this summer for a fun adventure for all the family. This summer, bring the whole family to Dudmaston Hall for a day of outdoor fun and adventure. You can race around on space hoppers, challenge each other to a speedy race, or head to the Dingle to play a classic game of pooh sticks in the stream. The kids will love playing wild in the woods, or staging a fun play with costumes and props from the play box. Get creative with art at the easels, or listen for the sounds of birds in our birdsong sound zone. Take a moment to relax while cloud-watching and spotting shapes in the sky, or feel the excitement of rolling down the big hill. When it’s time to unwind, the quiet zone offers a peaceful spot to rest.

As You Like It - Outdoor Theatre at Dudmaston Hall

Four pairs of soulmates meet in the mysterious Forest of Arden. One pair leap straight into bed. Another pair are instantaneously dumbstruck by each other’s beauty and pledge their undying troth. The third pair torment each other: he showers chaste love upon her which she haughtily rejects - yet secretly she enjoys the flattery. The fourth pair go further still, playfully blurring their roles and identities to such an extent that flirting becomes more pain than pleasure, and Love itself is pushed to the limit of its endurance – and beyond. Throughout the summer Shakespeare’s iconic comedy will be performed where its action is set – in the great outdoors, by a 5-strong cast of classically trained professional actors. Multi international award-winning Illyria has an unmatched reputation for excellence, forged over three decades, that dominates the outdoor touring theatre sector. Join them this summer for a memorable night of laughter and romance under the stars. Performance begins at 7pm. Running time (approx): 140-minutes (inc. 20 minute interval). Recommended for all ages.

Immersion Theatre are thrilled to bring their trademark energy to their wildly entertaining musical adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling family favourite, THE JUNGLE BOOK! Join the friends as they meet and attempt to outwit a slithering snake, some cheeky monkeys, and the fierce tiger, Shere Khan! Multi-award nominated Immersion Theatre proudly bring their trademark style and energy to Dudmaston with heaps of interaction, stunning costumes, toe-tapping music, and larger-than-life characters! They will have you howling with laughter: It’s the perfect treat for the whole family! This event is suitable for those aged 4 and up. Performances last approximately 100 minutes including interval. Entry to Dudmaston for those attending the production will be free from 30 minutes before the start. Normal entry fees apply for those arriving earlier than 30 minutes before the start. Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted at the event. Assistance dogs only.
