Cycling Group

Join us for our weekly fun and relaxed bike rides (weather-dependent), led by qualified cycle leaders. We’ll be taking a ride around the local area. There will also be 2 Cargo Bikes available to try! Children must be accompanied by an adult and aged 8+ There is no need book your place in advance – simply drop in! You can bring your own bike along or borrow one from our bike library; we have helmets available too Meet us outside MacMillan Hub, MacMillan Square Free for local residents of North Edinburgh Our Cycling Group meets weekly on Wednesday morning, 10am – 12pm. Community Shed Sessions

Tuesday – Thursday, 10am – 2pm The Shed is a welcoming, safe space where people living in North Edinburgh can come to make or mend stuff using recycled wood. We aim to create a fun space where our members can meet new people, learn new skills, and feel supported to realise their creative ambitions. If you want to learn about wood-making, up-cycle your home furniture or make something new out of recycled wood, come and join us! Tools, space, and support will be provided. The Shed is open for old and new members, between Tuesday and Thursday, 10am to 2pm. CREATE (for 0-5 year olds & their parents/carers)

Weekly drop-in creative sessions for children (ages 0-5) with their parents/carers on Thursdays, 10am – 12pm Sessions also take place on Saturdays – click here for more information For families living in the local areas of Muirhouse, Pilton, Granton & Drylaw Places are available each week on a first-come, first served basis and we cannot guarantee a place at every session. We recommend arriving in good time for the start of the session to avoid disappointment. FREE but registration is required. Please COMPLETE THIS ONLINE FORM to register your child for CREATE. (If you have already completed a Child Registration Form for 2025/26, there’s no need to complete a new one.) About CREATE: CREATE is an art-making experience for early years, that engages parents and carers in messy play with the children, aged 5 and under, in their care. Running two mornings a week the project aims to provide active childhood experiences for adults and children. CREATE provides the resources, ideas and creative inspiration for a range of activities that can often be replicated in the home environment using recycled, low-cost and easily obtainable materials. No previous experience is needed, all abilities welcome! A healthy snack is provided for all attending. Sessions may take place indoors – or sometimes outdoors if weather permits!

Chair Yoga for Over 50s

Thursdays, 10:30am – 11:45am A free class for residents in North Edinburgh A gentle chair yoga class, for ages 50+. Water and all yoga equipment will be provided, and please wear comfy clothes to class. This is a free class for residents in North Edinburgh. Booking is required for this class – please call or email This block of classes is running from 9 April to June 2026. The next block of classes will be running from 30 July to 1 October 2026. This session is taught by Stephanie Knight and Katy Lonsdale, and supported by Edinburgh Communities Health and Wellbeing Fund.
