A Hundred Words for Snow by Tatty Hennessy is a funny, wry and bittersweet one-woman show about fifteen-year-old Rory, whose father has died – leaving her with his ashes, sealed forever inside a cheap, disappointing urn. Left to make sense of loss on her own, Rory is angry, sharp-tongued and overwhelmed by the strange responsibility of carrying someone’s eternity in her hands. In a moment of impulse, she decides to take her dad on one final journey – all the way to the North Pole. What follows is a darkly comic story that shifts between humour and reflection, capturing the awkward and absurd moments that sit alongside grief. A Hundred Words for Snow is a must-see piece of contemporary theatre – funny, thoughtful and bittersweet. With Violet Fendick as Rory.
