We’re excited to host the Warden Summer BBQ, a special event just for our wardens to say a huge thank-you for all the time, energy, and dedication they give. This is all about celebrating you and the incredible work you do, volunteering your free time to make a real difference. The BBQ will be a relaxed summer get-together with good food, great company, and plenty of opportunity to kick back and enjoy some well-deserved fun. It’s our way of showing appreciation for everything you do and to celebrate the ongoing successes of the team. We can’t wait to see all our wardens there and make it a memorable, enjoyable day for everyone!

Curious about getting involved at Thorrington Scout Camp? Our Warden Open Day is a great opportunity to find out how you could make a real difference – while gaining new skills, confidence, and experiences along the way. The day is all about discovery. You’ll meet the people behind the scenes, learn what wardens do, and explore the activities and opportunities that make the camp such a special place for young people and volunteers alike. At the open day, you will: Find out more about the warden role and how it fits around your time and commitments Discover the activities and facilities available at Thorrington Scout Camp and give them a try! Meet friendly volunteers from each warden team, who will share their stories and answer your questions Whether you’re looking to volunteer, learn new skills, give back to your community, or simply want to know more, this is a relaxed and welcoming way to take your first step. No pressure – just a chance to see where you could belong and how you could help create Skills for Life for others (and yourself). We’d love to welcome you to Thorrington Scout Camp. Open Farm Sunday at Bennison Farm

We are looking forward to welcoming you to our organic veg farm. There will be free parking and the following activites: Farm Trail: Explore the fields at your own pace or join one of two guided tours with Danny, who will be able to answer any of your veg related questions. Family Fun: Outdoor games and activities, including bushcraft, a sensory mystery crate, blindfolded "Guess the Veg," and "Food Mile Jump Rope" - a game to show how far some food travels to get to the supermarkets. Plant Sale: Grab some gorgeous green goodies to take home for your own garden or windowsill. Teas, coffee and cake About this farm: Bennison Farm is Community Supported Agriculture market garden farm supplying organic vegetable to the local community.
