Healthy, freshly-cooked food from local surplus ingredients, served just outside 101! Heartwarming soups, curries and stews served with rice, hearty pasta bakes, pakoras, couscous or grilled polenta with a side of salad, tzatziki, roast veggies and more. And of course, bread, cake, tea, coffee and dessert! Also, help yourself with free surplus groceries donated by local supermarkets that will nourish your body and soul! All veg with vegan and gluten-free options. Eat in or to go, by donation. For last Sunday’s meal, we’d like to thank International Food Centre, Northdown Road Family Hub, Deal With It, plus ALDI, LIDL, Tesco and Waitrose via the MICommunity shops. The Cliftonville Soup Kitchen is entirely funded and supported by our local community and fully relies on products and time generously donated by a growing group of residents. Margate Textile Society meeting

Weekly meetings around the love of textile techniques, materials, styles, meanings, socio-political impact and potential for change and healing whilst honing and sharing timeless skills. No previous experience required. Bring your project or start one here! Tools, supplies, and support available. Donations of fabrics and yarn always appreciated. Drop-in £5 or £15 monthly, including refreshments [cake, teas and juice]. No one turned away for lack of funds. Free of under 18 or over 65. Ph: The first quilt is coming together! Two hundred and fifty of the about 1,000 fabric hexagons needed for this classic paper-pieced English quilt are now ready, as more hands join in to stitch it together. This beauty will be auctioned in support of the Weaving an Axis of Resilience: Manar, Daughter of Palestine initiative next September. Italian sourdough pizza with vegan and gluten-free options; bar with beers, ciders, cocktails and Italian wines; Thursday potato gnocchi & tiramisù; teas and brews, all served from 6pm.
