About this event
The third of three specially curated Gorhambury tours & walks celebrating the life of Sir Francis Bacon, 400 years after his death in 1626. This walk is the longest of the three and covers all the important Baconian sites on the estate. Old Gorhambury was the first house in the United Kingdom to have a piped water system, and we will walk the possible route of the pipes from Old Gorhambury to the water storage pits in Praewood.
