'Good News:Good Bread' - sourdough breadmaking workshop

You're invited to join us at Artizan Cafe, 12 Cambridge Road, HG1 1PB, on Saturday 24th January at 6:30pm - 9:00pm. David Francis, artisan baker for 40 years, will be sharing some of his passion & expertise in natural sourdough breadmaking, and how the gospel of Jesus is revealed through this process. We'll take part in hand milling the grain, dough making, starter creation & care, PLUS of course, your dough to take home and bake the next day. We will also provide some freshly baked bread & butter to sample, of course! NB: For the workshop, we will provide: the flour, salt and starter but Please bring: a plastic bowl that holds around two litres of water, a plastic jug for water, an apron (if required), a hand towel and, if possible, a digital set of scales that measures in 1g increments. Please sign up to let us know you're coming (there are only limited spaces!) and also let us know if you have any allergies to wheat. A few weeks after the event there will be a follow up session for those interested in asking some questions having had a go themselves. A great way to reach out to others & invite them to find community and friendship.
