Free farm walks at 11.00 and 1.00pm for up to 30 people. Booking required. Farming with nature and the historic environment. Farm walk includes the history of the farm, access to the Roman fort that is not usually open to the public, environmental stewardship on the farm, and see some of the livestock. We are an upland beef and sheep farm. Meat and books are available from our farm shop after the walk. Free teas and coffees. Sorry no dogs. Walk covers uneven ground, stout footwear needed. About this farm: Low Borrowbridge is a traditional upland Farm with sheep and cattle. We also have pigs, hens and Fell ponies. We work alongside the wildlife that lives on the farm-red squirrels, otters, deer etc. We are currently implementing environmental schemes to provide riparian habitats. We have ancient alder woodlands with wych elm trees. We also have a Roman fort. The farm has a fascinating history and was once a coaching inn and the home of the biggest Sheep show and sale in the north of England. Highlights: Beef; Sheep; Other livestock; Environmental stewardship; Farm shop / retail Booking details: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/andrea-meanwell-46422286123
