This one day course has no wood turning element to it. Everything is done with hand and battery tools. Legs are split from ash logs and then axed to remove edges. The rest of the leg preparation is done with a draw knife and spokeshaves on a shave horse. The ends are tenoned using a tenon cutter and holes to take the legs drilled into an approximately 90cm long slab of timber. Any remaining time is spent on improving the bench top. Over 16s only.
