Théodore Pellerin, William Lebghil, Salome Dewaels, Jeanne Balibar Tender and humane, Pauline Loquès’s remarkable debut is an ode to the naturalistic style of the French New Wave, including a tip of the hat to Agnès Varda’s Cléo from 5 to 7. At a doctor’s appointment the day before his 29th birthday, Nino (rising star Théodore Pellerin) is given an upsetting diagnosis. His condition is treatable, but the treatment may leave him infertile. Shaken and overwhelmed, Nino is unsure what to do next, and when he bumps into an old friend, he embarks on a journey of introspection. Over the course of the weekend, Nino wanders the streets of Paris, coming to terms with his past, present and future and reconnecting with friends, his family and himself.
