Imaginary Landscapes; A Poetry & Harp Recital

Imaginary Landscapes brings together the spellbinding poetry of Chris Tutton, acclaimed author, performer and raconteur, with the semi improvised harp brilliance of international award-winning harpist, Lucy Nolan in a performance of words by Chris and music by Lucy. Together they have graced stages from the Hay Festival to the Royal Albert Hall, delighting audiences at sold-our shows across the UK. Chris Tutton is the critically acclaimed and award winning author of eight collections of poetry. Coined by Ned Sherrin as “the master of the short poem” his work has also been described as “absolutely beautiful” and “philosophy in poetry form”. Lucy Nolan is an award-winning international Harpist, passionate about challenging and evolving new styles of harp playing through collaboration, composition and performance. Join us for a wonderful evening of poetry & music in the enchanting surroundings of Sandon Hall. Arrival from 5pm for a 6pm performance.

Annabelle Chairlegs

Annabelle Chairlegs is the electrifying project of Austin-based songwriter Lindsey Mackin, known for her gritty, whimsical sound and commanding stage presence. Since emerging in 2013, the band has become a standout live act, sharing stages with The Zombies, Lucy Dacus, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre and performing at major festivals including Austin City Limits, SXSW, Levitation, and Austin Psych Fest. With two self-released albums and a 2020 Austin Music Award for Best Music Video ("Outside"), the project continues to build momentum. Their upcoming Ty Segall-produced album, Waking Up (January 2026), introduces a refreshed lineup and an even sharper, explosive live energy.

Bridge City Sinners

From the misty, pine-covered hills of the Pacific Northwest hail the Bridge City Sinners, who span the continuum from prohibition era jazz to Appalachian death folk. This traditional string band line up bends the meaning of the word genre, Playing festivals from Punk Rock Bowling, to Muddy Roots, to Oregon’s Bluegrass String Summit. They started their journey by busking on sidewalks across the country and now this supergroup of musicians find themselves on the national tour circuit.

Peatbog Faeries

Hailing from the Isle of Skye, the legendary Scottish trailblazers have created a glorious mixture of traditional sounds and dance-floor grooves that have been embraced worldwide. Drawing upon a dazzling myriad of influences from jigs and reels through Dance Music, Jazz, African, and more, they bring the sound of Scotland fresh-faced and breathless to the new audiences around the world. From the moment they take to the stage, the mood is set for a no-nonsense feel-good atmosphere, each number sounding like an encore itself. The traditional styles that influence the musicians are still to be heard and when an unexpected drop-down to those glorious core melodies sneaks in the result is spine-chilling! In short, it rocks, and the audience becomes part of the experience. 2023 will see the Peatbog Faeries 32nd year as a band. Exiting times lie ahead with the addition on the superbly talented Shetlander Norman Willmore on keys and alto sax and renowned multi instrumentalist Innes Watson on acoustic guitar, additional fiddle and vocals. Having been on a leash for the best part of two years, the Peatbogs are ready, with new materiel and a new enthusiasm, to entertain music lovers once again.

Car Bomb

Originally formed on Long Island, New York in 2000, Car Bomb is a band whose style is marked by a highly experimental and extremely aggressive approach to metal. Their unpredictable blend of evolving polyrhythms, shifting tempos, syncopated down-tuned guitars, jazz-influenced drumming, harmonically deconstructive riffing, and dynamic vocals create a sound that is pulverizingly heavy and intensely disorienting. They create music that is fluid and ever changing, and are not afraid of veering off on bold melodic tangents. This unique sound combined with a strong DIY work ethic and a continuously growing fan base has earned them the opportunity to tour with larger acts in the genre.
