Activity : Dumbarton Health & Social Walk

The Dumbarton walk will be in Levengrove Park. The walkers meet at 10am beside the Kilmahew Fountain just down from the main gate on Clydeshore Road. Many people think of walking as recreational and not really exercise, but that daily walk can be hugely beneficial to your health – and it’s free to do! Taking part in one of the many Health and Social Walks across West Dunbartonshire will help you get out and about, meet new people and socialise with friends and family, all at the same time. Many people think of walking as recreational and not really exercise, but that daily walk can be hugely beneficial to your health – and it’s free to do! Taking part in one of the many Health and Social Walks across West Dunbartonshire will not help you get out and about, meet new people and socialise with friends and family, all at the same time. The Old Kilpatrick Health and Social Walk starts from beside the Key Store on Dumbarton Road. The walk takes in local routes along the canal path to Bowling and within the Saltings. All walks are for health and social benefits and last up to 1 hour. It’s a perfect opportunity to meet new people while becoming more active. Many people think of walking as recreational and not really exercise, but that daily walk can be hugely beneficial to your health – and it’s free to do! Taking part in one of the many Health and Social Walks across West Dunbartonshire will help you get out and about, meet new people and socialise with friends and family, all at the same time. Tuesday Evening Loch Lomond Sessions

Tuesday evening club sessions at Balloch Lomond. Weekly sessions at Loch Lomond across all craft – river kayak, sea kayak, open boats, & SUPs. Whilst focus is on building skills there are also opportunities to journey on the loch or maybe even along the river Leven. As these sessions are popular, to ensure you have access to necessary kit please arrive early as this helps to make the most of the time we have, on the water. There is no requirement to book. Club fees are normally collected at the end of the session. Meeting point is container at Maid of the Loch, Balloch [ Google Maps || What Three words ///trailer.mills.sandbags ] . The container is normally open for kit from 6.30pm. NOTE: In 2026 there may be evenings with a “breakaway trip” (a small group going to a different venue or possibly an “all-away trip” where everyone is going to a different venue. These will be published as soon as dates are confirmed.

The Clydebank Health and Social Walks starts from beside the band stand on Three Queen’s Square and follows local routes around Clydebank, the canal and includes walks down past the Titan Crane. All walks are for health and social benefits and last up to 1 hour. It’s a perfect opportunity to meet new people while becoming more active. Many people think of walking as recreational and not really exercise, but that daily walk can be hugely beneficial to your health – and it’s free to do! Second Saturday Paddle

A social paddle on the Second Saturday of each month. These will be “Grade A” paddles, exploring interesting locations around Glasgow – coasts, lochs, canals etc. TRIPS & ORGANISERS – 2026 June 13th – Ewan – and Lesley July – 11th – Sandy – Aug – 8th – Richard – and Paul R Sept – 12th – Leigh – and James Oct – 10th – Pat – and Paul R Nov 14th – Celia – and Margaret Dec – 12th – Misha – and Amanda Additional Info The Second Saturday paddles that fall on even months 2/4/6/8/10 – Feb/Apr/Jun/Aug/Oct/ (DATES in bold above) – will be particularly good for new paddlers who may not have paddled outdoors yet, but may have been through DCKC Introduction to Kayaking sessions in the pool or Loch Lomond. Please contact the organiser to be included when details of the trip are circulated.; generally in the week before the event. If you object to being added to a WhatsApp group or email list for the trip please indicate this to the leader /organiser when expressing an interest. By default, you will be added to group communications which are the usual, but not the only way, of updating everyone with trip details The trip may feature a curry or meal following the trip, although this is at the discretion of the Leader or a team member willing to organise this.
