Come and discover the art for yourself Lessons are taught by Kirsty Brady from her studio benefiting from her years of experience in this field. Various methods are explored to create an array of beautiful objects and artworks, all from your own designs. These courses are not educational, so suitable for beginners and non creatives. The sessions are about enjoying the process in a relaxing environment and taking a little time out to be creative, in a beautiful area. Glasgow Canal Coop presents 'Canal Quest'

Scottish Canals are participating in Glasgow Canal Quest, a community event taking place on Saturday 1 August along the Forth & Clyde Canal in Glasgow as part of the celebrations surrounding the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. Glasgow Canal Quest is a free, family-friendly event (organised by Glasgow Canal Coop) designed to encourage people to explore the canal corridor by foot, bike and boat while taking part in a range of activities and experiences. The event will run from 10:00am to 5:00pm, connecting locations along the canal between Pinkston Watersports Centre and Stockingfield Bridge. Visitors can take part in sports, cultural activities, community engagement opportunities, live performances and food experiences throughout the day. The event provides an excellent opportunity to showcase the value of Glasgow's canals, engage potential new audiences and highlight the role Scottish Canals plays in supporting recreation, heritage, wellbeing and community development. Scottish Canals is operating two Family Friendly Heritage Boat Tours on the day (which are unfortunately all booked up). Our Heritage Manager, Chris O'Connell, will lead the trip and discuss the history of the canals - revealing the hidden stories from the network. Attendees will pass iconic sites like the Western Saw Mills, Ruchill Oil Works, Mackintosh Ruchill Church Hall, and the Maryhill Iron Works.

Growth Track

Growth Track takes place on the first Sunday of every month after the main service, starting at approximately 12:15pm. It is held upstairs at The Hills Church in the kids' room and lasts around 20–30 minutes. During Growth Track, you'll watch a short video from Pastors Andy and Victoria, meet members of the team, and have the opportunity to ask questions and get connected into church life. It's a great way to get to know our pastors and team, and to help make church feel like family.

Pickleball

We have two sessions per week. One is on Monday 18:30-21:00, the other Wednesday 14:15-16:15. All players are welcome at any time during the session. Cost is £2 /person if you have your own bat and £3 if you use one of ours. Children under 16 must come accompanied by an adult. Our pickleball kit can also be rented if you want to practise or play a game with family and friends. Just contact the bookings secretary with any questions.

Slow session

The slow session is every Monday 19:30-21:00 and is run to specifically practise traditional session music slowly. Anyone is welcome to suggest tunes that we can then practice. Once a month we run a singing session. Again, no tuition as such, just an opportunity to practise songs with accompaniment. Minimum ability grade 2/3. We welcome all instruments and all ages. Cost £2 to cover hall fees.

Seil Crafting Group

If you’d like to craft in company with neighbours and a cuppa, come along to the Seil crafting group. We meet every other Tuesday evening in the Small Hall, all year around. Bring your own project, whatever it might be – we’ve had mending, embroidery, cross-stitch, needle-felting, sewing, crochet, sketching, weaving, hat-making, knitting, calligraphy, model-making, painting and more. Bring your own project, though occasionally people offer a workshop or chance to learn something new. Small donation invited to cover the rent and heating.
